Privacy
Your information should be treated with respect.
This page explains why information is collected, how it is used and how to have it removed.
Contact
When you use the contact form, your name, email address, subject and message are stored in Jan’s private website inbox. They are used only to read and answer your message.
Reviews
When you submit a review, your name, email address, selected book, rating and review are stored. Your email address is never published. The review appears only after Jan has reviewed and approved it.
Letters without filter
When you subscribe, your first name and email address are stored. You always confirm your email through a message before becoming a subscriber. Every letter includes a link to unsubscribe.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics only when you actively allow it. It helps us understand how the website is used. Your choice is stored locally on the domain you use and can be changed later through Privacy and analytics choices in the footer. When you withdraw permission, we stop further analytics and remove analytics cookies as far as the browser allows.
Anonymous traffic statistics
We compile anonymous, aggregated server-based traffic statistics to understand whether the public parts of the website are used. Statistics may be grouped by day, website, Sweden or other countries, and public main area. We also count how often an approved transition between two defined surfaces occurs during a day, for example Entrance Hall to Library. These transitions are stored only as aggregate counts by day, website, from-surface, to-surface and version numbers. Transitions are not linked to one another. The measurement creates no visitor identifier, visitor session or visitor cookie and does not store an IP address, user agent, full URL, individual timestamp or referrer history. We can therefore see which doors are used, but not who moves through the house or reconstruct an individual visitor journey. The statistics are separate from voluntary Google Analytics.
